V and B Fest’ 2027: Angèle, Orelsan, Tiakola and Amelie Lens Open the Lineup

V and B Fest’ 2027 has opened its seventh chapter with four names that pull in four different directions without feeling random: Angèle, Orelsan, Tiakola and Amelie Lens. The festival takes over La Maroutière in Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne from August 19 to 22, 2027.

This is firmly a first wave, not a finished poster. Even so, it already sketches the festival’s identity rather well: French-language pop and rap at the center, with a serious techno booking ready to change the temperature after dark.

Four Names, Four Corners of the Festival

Angèle gives the opening announcement its clearest pop centerpiece. The Belgian singer turned the sharp writing and understated hooks of Brol and Nonante-Cinq into arena-sized songs without sanding away their personality. Her booking makes sense for a festival that wants mass appeal but still values a distinct voice.

Orelsan brings a very different kind of command. His catalog, especially the blockbuster Civilisation era, can move from dry observation to full-crowd release in a few bars. In France, this is not merely a recognizable name near the top of a poster; it is the sort of booking that can define an entire festival night.

Tiakola is the bridge between rap, melody and contemporary R&B. Since Mélo, his fluid delivery has made him one of the most natural crossover artists in French music. On a bill with Angèle and Orelsan, he also keeps the first announcement from leaning too heavily toward established festival veterans.

Then there is Amelie Lens. The Belgian DJ and EXHALE founder is the outlier on paper and probably the booking that tells us the most about what V and B Fest’ wants to remain: broad, restless and willing to switch from sing-alongs to high-pressure techno. One strong electronic name can completely reshape a four-day festival’s rhythm, and this one has the weight to do it.

Why This First Wave Works

The clever part is not simply that all four artists are popular. It is that they cover different reasons people buy a festival ticket. Angèle offers polished pop with emotional detail. Orelsan brings the big communal rap set. Tiakola connects a younger audience to melody-led hip-hop, while Amelie Lens gives electronic fans a genuine anchor rather than a token late-night name.

That range suits an event that has grown quickly since its 2019 launch. The festival reported 210,000 visits across its expanded 2026 edition, and the scale is now part of the story. V and B Fest’ is no longer testing whether it belongs among France’s large summer gatherings. The question is how it uses that size without losing the anything-can-happen mix that built its audience.

The official artwork labels these as the first four names, so day assignments, stages and performance times remain unannounced. Expect later waves to add the depth: rock and metal, more electronic music, emerging French acts and the left-field bookings that turn four headliners into a festival.

The Practical Stuff

Do not plan around artist days yet. The announcement confirms the festival dates but does not place Angèle, Orelsan, Tiakola or Amelie Lens on specific days. Four-day passes are the safest option for anyone booking before the day split arrives.

Build the final leg into your travel plan. Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne does not sit on a major intercity rail line. Laval is the useful rail gateway, but visitors should arrange the onward road journey rather than treating the train station as the finish line.

Camping is an add-on. The official festival information lists tent camping separately from admission, so check the current ticket options before assuming accommodation is included.

Keep watching the official channels. This poster has only four artists, and the festival explicitly describes it as a first wave. Accommodation and transport decisions can be made now; detailed set-by-set planning has to wait.

A Small Poster With a Big Signal

Four names are not enough to judge a four-day festival, but they are enough to establish intent. V and B Fest’ 2027 is starting with star power, generational range and one properly forceful techno booking. That is a stronger opening move than a long list with no personality.

The next announcement will tell us how deep the festival plans to go. For now, this is a first wave worth taking seriously.
