Innings Festival 2027: Pitbull, The Strokes and Alanis Morissette Lead Three-Day Lineup

Innings Festival 2027 is taking the baseball-weekend idea and stretching it into a full three-day desert soundtrack. From February 26–28, 2027, Tempe Beach Park & Arts Park will host a 30-artist bill led by Pitbull, The Strokes and Alanis Morissette, with the music split cleanly across Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The top line is deliberately broad: Friday leans into arena-sized pop and singalong nostalgia, Saturday turns toward indie rock and pop-punk, and Sunday closes with alternative staples. Add the festival’s baseball programming and the setting beside Tempe Town Lake, and this is less a standard rock weekend than a spring-training crossover with a genuinely strong concert bill.

Friday Starts With Pure Crowd-Pleaser Energy

Friday, February 26 belongs to Pitbull. His festival sets are built for maximum participation: giant hooks, rapid-fire features and a catalog that can turn an open field into a party before the first chorus is finished. It is a direct, uncomplicated booking for opening night – and exactly the kind of headliner that makes a mixed-age festival crowd move together.

5 Seconds of Summer and Train strengthen the big-song side of the day. The former have grown well beyond their early pop-punk framing, while the latter can reach from “Drops of Jupiter” to “Hey, Soul Sister” without losing the casual listeners near the back. 4 Non Blondes and Shaggy add two more catalogs with instantly recognisable songs, giving Friday a pronounced throwback streak without making it feel like a nostalgia package.

The lower half changes the temperature. Cold War Kids bring wiry indie rock, Winnetka Bowling League supply melodic alternative pop, and Sun Room push the day toward sunnier guitar music. Winyah and The Retrograde complete the opening-day bill.

Saturday Is the Guitar Fan’s Day

Saturday, February 27 has the tightest identity of the weekend. The Strokes headline a day that links early-2000s indie rock to the current pop-punk revival. Few bands can make clipped guitars and studied cool feel so natural on a large stage, and their presence gives Innings a major alternative-rock centerpiece.

Pierce The Veil sit directly beneath them with a louder, more volatile kind of release. Their audience has expanded across generations, helped by songs such as “King for a Day” continuing to find new listeners. Pairing them with Interpol creates a neat contrast: one band thrives on emotional overload, the other on control, shadow and repetition.

Yellowcard and Hot Mulligan make Saturday especially useful for pop-punk fans. One brings a catalog tied to the genre’s 2000s breakthrough; the other represents its restless modern form. Eli and Blondshell broaden the middle of the bill, while Ax and the Hatchetmen, Radio Free Alice and Practically People fill out a day that should reward arriving well before sunset.

Sunday Closes on Alternative Classics

Sunday, February 28 puts Alanis Morissette at the top. More than three decades after Jagged Little Pill, the songs still land because they are too sharply written to become polite heritage pieces. A Sunday-night “You Oughta Know” beside Tempe Town Lake has the potential to be the weekend’s loudest communal moment.

The Neighbourhood provide a darker, sleek counterweight, while Death Cab For Cutie bring one of indie rock’s deepest songbooks. Spoon are the reliability booking here: economical, clever and consistently excellent live. Passion Pit add bright electronic-pop release, and Better Than Ezra extend the day’s connection to ’90s alternative radio.

Sunday’s earlier names are worth attention too. Glixen have become one of the most visible new names in shoegaze, Vincent Lima brings a more intimate singer-songwriter edge, and The Technicolors keep the Arizona connection in the mix. Tournament rounds out the music lineup.

Baseball Is Part of the Bill, Not Just the Theme

Innings separates itself from most destination festivals by programming baseball personalities alongside the music. The 2027 poster lists Off the Mound featuring Ryan Dempster and an All-Star Baseball Jam hosted by Jake Peavy, plus appearances from Darryl Strawberry, Dexter Fowler, David Justice, Nelson Cruz, Rollie Fingers, Joe Kelly, Jamie Moyer, Omar Vizquel, Jessica Mendoza and Shawon Dunston.

Those appearances are not counted as music artists in the lineup above, and no stage times have been announced. Still, they matter to the event’s identity. Spring training is already part of the rhythm of the Phoenix area in late February; Innings turns that atmosphere into the frame for a festival rather than treating baseball as a decorative gimmick.

Planning the Tempe Weekend

Use public transport where practical. Downtown Tempe can become busy during major events, and the park sits close to Valley Metro Rail service. Visitors flying into Phoenix Sky Harbor can connect toward Tempe without relying on a car for every journey.

Expect desert temperature swings. Late-February afternoons can feel warm in direct sun, while evenings cool quickly. Layers, sunscreen and a refillable water bottle are more useful than committing to one outfit for the entire day.

Choose your day by mood. Friday is the broad pop party, Saturday is the strongest guitar-driven sequence, and Sunday carries the deepest alternative catalog. A three-day pass makes sense for range; single-day buyers have unusually distinct options.

Do not wait for set times before planning accommodation. The official lineup is day-split, but stages and performance times remain unannounced. Book around the full festival day rather than assuming an early arrival or quick exit will cover every priority act.

A Lineup That Understands Its Setting

Innings Festival works because it does not try to hide the crossover. The baseball programming is real, the spring-training location makes sense, and the music lineup is strong enough to stand without the concept. Pitbull, The Strokes and Alanis Morissette could anchor three unrelated festivals; here, they give each day a clear personality.

Saturday may be the critic’s pick, but the weekend is balanced better than that suggests. Friday has the biggest mass-singalong potential, Sunday has the richest catalog, and the undercard includes enough current guitar music to keep the event from leaning entirely on familiar names.
