NOS Alive 2026: Foo Fighters, Twenty One Pilots and Florence + The Machine Lead Lisbon Lineup

NOS Alive 2026 has dropped the kind of lineup that makes the Lisbon waterfront feel less like a festival site and more like a three-day argument over who gets to close your night. From 9 July to 11 July, Passeio Marítimo de Algés brings together Foo Fighters, Twenty One Pilots, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Florence + The Machine, Lorde, Teddy Swims, Zara Larsson, Pixies, Alabama Shakes, and a properly stacked undercard.

The best part is the balance. This is not just a rock bill with a few pop names sprinkled on top. NOS Alive has built a 2026 edition that moves from stadium guitars to art-rock gravity, modern pop, club-focused electronics, and Portuguese-language heavy hitters without losing the identity that made it one of Europe’s most reliable city festivals.

Three Days, Three Very Different Kinds of Damage

Thursday, 9 July – Dark grandeur, arena chaos, and left-field rock

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Twenty One Pilots give the opening day a strange, brilliant tension. Cave brings the preacher-at-the-end-of-the-world intensity, while Twenty One Pilots arrive with one of the most devoted live fanbases in modern alternative music.

A Perfect Circle adds the heavier, more sculpted side of the day, while The Royston Club brings the newer indie-rock charge to the NOS Stage. Over on the Heineken Stage, the day gets especially interesting: Alabama Shakes, Matt Berninger, Dogstar, Xinobi, and Tomora make this one of those NOS Alive days where leaving the main stage area is not optional.

WTF Clubbing handles the late-night shift with Polo & Pan, Midnight Generation, RUMIA, Linka Moja, and Gui Aly. If the main stages go dramatic, this is where the day loosens its shoulders.

Friday, 10 July – Foo Fighters and a very dangerous undercard

Foo Fighters headline 10 July, and that alone gives Friday the big communal rock-night energy. It is exactly the kind of booking that makes sense at Algés: huge choruses, sea air, thousands of people doing the same lyric at the same time. Subtle? No. Effective? Obviously.

The NOS Stage also features Wolf Alice, Skunk Anansie, and The Warning, which gives Friday more bite than the poster’s top line might suggest. On the Heineken Stage, Zara Larsson brings the pop precision, The War On Drugs bring the widescreen guitar haze, Jehnny Beth brings edge, and Palaye Royale bring the glam-rock chaos.

The club side is not filler either. SBTRKT (DJ Set), Digitalism (Hybrid Live Set), Fiona Kraft, Chris Luno, La Fleur, and Stresshead make WTF Clubbing feel like a separate festival hiding inside the festival.

Saturday, 11 July – Florence, Lorde, Pixies, and a closing day with range

Florence + The Machine closing out a Lisbon summer night is the kind of booking that needs very little explanation. Florence Welch has the rare ability to make a festival field feel cathedral-sized, and on 11 July she is joined on the NOS Stage by Lorde, Teddy Swims, Buraka Som Sistema, and Don West.

That is a wild run on paper, but it works: art-pop, soul-pop, Portuguese club heritage, and crossover songwriting all stacked into one day. The Heineken Stage counters with Pixies, Florence Road, Alessi Rose, Noiserv, and ZIMMER90, while WTF Clubbing closes with Modeselektor, Pedro da Linha, Titica, Arthi, Deize Tigrona, and Fidju Kitxora.

Why This NOS Alive Lineup Works

The headliners cover different festival moods. Foo Fighters handle the giant rock singalong. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds bring the weight. Twenty One Pilots bring the hyper-dedicated alternative crowd. Florence + The Machine bring the grand finale. That spread matters because NOS Alive is a city festival with tourists, locals, rock fans, pop fans, and late-night electronic heads sharing the same concrete by the river.

The undercard is where the flex is. Alabama Shakes, Wolf Alice, The War On Drugs, Pixies, Skunk Anansie, Matt Berninger, Jehnny Beth, and A Perfect Circle would make a strong mid-sized festival by themselves. Here, they sit under a set of headliners that already feel expensive.

The Portuguese and club programming keeps it from becoming generic. Names like Buraka Som Sistema, Pedro da Linha, Titica, Deize Tigrona, Xinobi, and Gui Aly give the lineup a regional pulse. That is the difference between a touring-package poster and a festival that actually belongs to its location.

The Practical Stuff

Stay close to the Cascais line if you can. Algés is much easier when your accommodation connects cleanly by train or rideshare. Lisbon is not huge, but festival exits are festival exits, and nobody becomes a better person while trying to leave with thousands of people at the same time.

Plan stage moves early. The split between NOS Stage, Heineken Stage, and WTF Clubbing means the clashes will matter once set times land. If you care about Foo Fighters and The War On Drugs, or Florence + The Machine and Pixies, do not freestyle your evening.

Bring layers. July in Lisbon is warm, but the waterfront can cool down later at night. You will be happier with one light layer than with the heroic confidence of someone who forgot wind exists.

Final Take

NOS Alive 2026 looks like one of the strongest European city-festival lineups of the summer so far. It has the obvious heavyweight names, but the real win is how deep the second and third lines go. There is no dead day here.
